House rules

  • It is not allowed to use the beds without bed linen
  • It is not allowed to bring animals indoors. Violation entails additional costs for washing with a minimum of NOK 1,500 in addition to the booked price.
  • Smoking is not permitted. Violation entails additional costs for washing of at least NOK 1,500 in addition to the booked price.
  • Respect the curfew between 23.00 and 07.00
  • Fastening is not permitted.
  • If something is damaged during your stay, you must notify us as soon as possible

Parkring

Parking can be done in front of the cabin, and at the parking lot by the road, past the cabin.
NB: Please do not park on the turnpike at the opposite side of the road. See picture for parkingplan:

Door lock

If the door alarm starts to beep, dial the door code and the unlock button on the touch panel to stop the alarm. This can happen if the lock trying to lock the door when it is not properly closed.

Cooling

It is possible to open windows, there is a child lock on the windows. To open them all the way, release the child lock on the right side of the window frame, moving the lock upwards. See this video for instructions

Fire safety

Timblalodgen is equipped with a fire alarm system and a stove guard. The fire extinguisher is located to the right in the wardrobe in the hallway at the 2nd floor, and in the cabinet behind the sofa wall at the 1st floor.

Light / heating

All lights can be dimmed, push in and hold the light switch to dim up or down, alternatively turn the wheel if there is a rotary switch.

All rooms have floor heating, the thermostat on the wall shows the air temperature in the room, press the up or down arrow to adjust the floor heating.

Waste

Waste bags should be placed in the waste container in the lower parking area in the ski centre. There is different containers, one for residual waste, one for glass/metal and one for paper/carton. Please put inside the cointainer, not outside of it.

Gas fireplace (2. floor)

Turn on:
The gas fireplace is started by pressing the top flame button and the red button simultaneously, as illustrated in the picture.

Note: When the fireplace starts, it will often draw in cold air, which may cause some condensation on the glass during the first few minutes. Avoid turning off the fireplace before the condensation has disappeared.

To adjust the flame size, press the flame control button up or down. To reduce the heat, you can turn off the side burners by pressing the SET button together with the small flame button.

To turn off:
The gas fireplace is turned off by pressing the red button.

 

 

Sonos sound system

The cabin is equipped with a Sonos sound system with speakers in the living room, basement lounge, and dining room. Sonos is controlled with a mobile app. Use the smartphone placed on the wireless charger – there is one smartphone for each floor.

Tap the Sonos app located on the home screen of the phone. From there, you can select radio stations, playlists, or search for, and play music via Spotify.

You can choose which zone to play in and group all speakers into a single shared zone.

TV / FrameTV / Xbox 360 / Chromecast

The TV in the living room has a several channels. To use the Xbox 360 console (1. floor), turn on the TV, press the HDMI button, and press the Xbox button in the center of the Xbox controller to turn on both the controller and the console.

To use Netflix, log in with your own Netflix account via the Netflix app on the Xbox 360 console. You can find the Netflix app by clicking on “My Parties” on the home screen. Alternatively, use Chromecast to stream apps from your mobile device.

On the FrameTV (2. floor), you can also log in to Netflix. Press the home button on the white FrameTV remote, then select Netflix on the screen.

Coffe machine (2. floor)

Turn on the machine using the power button located at the bottom left on the front of the machine. Select your desired coffee type, using the touch buttons, and press the start/stop button when your cup is placed under the spout. For coffee types that use the milk frother, first place the milk frother tube into a jug of milk or directly into a milk carton. If you prefer a stronger or milder coffee, adjust it using the coffee bean button. To select a larger or smaller cup size, use the ml button.

If needed, refill the water tank on the left side by opening the lid on the top of the water tank, and lift it up to relase it for refill. To refill coffee beans open the lid at the to the top of the machine. If the drip tray is full, remove it by pulling out the drip tray drawer, pull the cup holder plate to pull out the drawer.

Note: When using the milk frother, the cleaning program must be run afterward. Select “Menu,” then “Cleaning and Care,” press “OK,” choose “Rinse Milk System,” and follow the instructions.

Dishwasher

Place a dishwasher tablet in the compartment located inside the door of the dishwasher. Then press the power button located on the left at the top of the door edge. Select the desired program using the P button, close the door, and the machine will start. The dishwasher will open automatically when finished.

Kitchen extractor fan (2. floor)

To start the kitchen extractor fan, press the powerbutton, second from the right side. Adjust the speed by selecting the desired level 1-4. To stop the fan by press the power button once more. To lower the fan into the countertop, press the symbol marked with a ring on the picture.

Kitchen extractor fan (1. floor)

To start the kitchen extractor fan, pull the fan towards you, press the power button at the bottom left, and turn on the light at the bottom right. To adjust the power, select the button marked with 2 or 3.

Stove guard (1. floor, 2. floor)

If there is too much heat or steam, the stove guard protector (the outlined box in the picture on the kitchen wall) may activate. It will cut off the power supply to the cooktop. Press the button on the cooktop protector on the wall to reset it, then turn the burners back on.

At 2. floor the stove guard is mounted in the ceiling, not reachable. To reset it there is a button mounted at the left side of the drawer cabinet, just underneath the cooktop. Open the drawer to get access. (Sometime it is not working with the button, if so switch off and on fuse nr. 1 in the fuse cabinet inside the wardrobe in the hallway.

Sauna (1. floor)

Sauna rules:

  • Always shower before entering the sauna.
  • Bring a small towel to sit on, and use the sauna as long as it feels comfortable. Cool yourself down with a shower or cold drink as needed.
  • Choose between a dry sauna or a wet sauna. In a dry sauna, no water is used, only heat (humidity 5-10%). In a wet sauna, pour water over the sauna stones, not to much at once. (humidity 10-25%).
  • The normal sauna temperature is 70-90°C.
  • Avoid water spillage on the floor and benches.
  • The temperature is higher at the upper bench than at the lower one.
  • Never cover the sauna stove.
  • Always finish the sauna with a cool shower.
  • Remember to turn off the sauna heater.

Overheating protection

Sauna heater needs to be started a while before you use the sauna. The saunaheater has 2 wobbles. The left one controls power/timer/time setting, the one to the right controls the thermostat.

NB: There is an overheating protection. If activated, deactivate by pushing all the way in until you hear a click-sound.

2 options for starting the sauna heater:

Directly switch-on:

Turn the timerswitch past the red numbers, then turn back to the red ones, 1, 2 or 3 hours to set when the sauna heater will shut off. It can be turned off at any time by turning back to 0.

Timed switch-on:

Turn timer switch to 9 then turn back to the desired number of hours before switching on. Saunaheater can always be switched off by turning back to 0 position.

The loft (2. floor)

The loft has four beds. To use the ladder, lift it up, and pull it out on the floor for easy access to the loft.

Garden fire pit/ Sliding door shed (Outside at 2. floor)

To the right of the entrance door at 2. floor, there is a sliding door. Here, ski equipment can be stored. There is also a fire pit in the ski shed, which can be used freely, but must only be placed on snow or grass, not on the terrace and not close to the cabin. A bag of firewood is usually available in the ski shed.

High chair/ travel crib

High chair and travel crib is available, unsually to find in the wardrobe or closet.

Check out

The final check-out time is at 12:00. Upon check-out, the bedding should be removed. Duvet covers, pillowcases, and sheets should be gathered on the bathroom floor along with used towels.

Take care of the environment — place unused towels and bed linen folded on a chair to help us avoid unnecessary laundry and protect the environment

Please start the dishwasher if it hasn’t been done.

Trash from the kitchen and bathroom should be placed in the container in the lower parking area at the ski resort upon departure.

Make sure that all lights and the gas fireplace is turned off, also make sure that the front door is properly closed, so it auto-locks when you leave. Also, check that the patio doors are locked.

The nearest grocery store is in Sogndal city center, 12-minute drive from the lodge. Many grocery stores are open until 11 PM. Sogndal also has a shopping center, restaurants and cafes.
